Meet the Team

Melissa Biedak

I am thrilled to blend my passion for working with children and adolescents with my love for creating inclusive, joyful spaces. My role allows me to develop fun, impactful programs and lead an amazing team dedicated to making a difference. I’m also a big advocate for community education, often hosting workshops for educators, allied health professionals, parents and caregivers. Outside of work, you’ll find me taking my children on adventures, learning how to make new balloon animals, or exploring new ways to bring more smiles to our wonderful community.

Every child is a unique individual who possesses innate curiosity and potential. As an early child teacher, I am dedicated to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that celebrate diversity and honour each child’s individuality. All children are capable, curious, and active participants in their own learning journey, and regardless of their neurological differences, deserve experiences that are nurturing, respectful, and supportive to their unique needs and strengths. With ten years of experience working with children, I am passionate about fostering a love of learning through play. Play is a cornerstone of childhood that fosters growth and development, shaping a child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical well-being.

I have always had a love of working with children and this had led me to working as an Exercise Physiologist at Neurodiverse Playhouse! I am highly passionate about providing all children the opportunity and support to lay the foundational skills for a healthy and for-filling life through primitive reflex integration. I offer playful and engaging exercise and game-based play within my sessions to help children reach their fullest potential! In my spare time, you’ll find me listening to music, exploring the outdoors and spending time with my family. Working at Neurodiverse Playhouse provides me the opportunity to assist children in building and mastering the skills to explore their activities of interest whether that be bike riding, rock climbing, or backyard play!

During your free consultation, our expert exercise physiologist will take the time to understand your child’s unique needs and show you how a personalized exercise plan can:

  • Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Exercise provides a natural outlet for managing stress, giving your child healthy tools to navigate their emotions.

  • Build Confidence and Motor Skills: With a focus on fun, our exercises help improve coordination and motor skills, empowering your child to feel more in control and capable.

  • Support Sensory Regulation: Exercise is a fantastic way to manage sensory sensitivities, offering a safe environment where your child can comfortably regulate sensory input.

  • Encourage Social Interaction: Group activities and structured exercises offer your child the chance to practice social skills in a supportive and judgment-free setting.

Imagine your child thriving in an environment where their individual strengths are recognized, where they feel safe to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we offer more than just exercise—we offer hope, growth, and a community that understands.
